National School Bus Safety Week is October 21-25, 2024. The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is urging drivers to slow down and be aware of school buses in their communities. Although school buses are one of the safest modes of transportation, injuries and fatalities do occur outside of or near the buses. Most often, these tragedies occur because a motorist has failed to slow down and obey the bus’s stop sign, or to follow local traffic laws. Thank you for helping to keep our students and bus drivers safe!!
Parents are invited to attend any of the session presentations TOMORROW, Friday, October 18th. We extend an open invitation to community members to attend the 11:45-12:45 session at the Laurel campus. Hoping to have a great turnout to learn more about this important topic!
On October 14th, Kylla Klausen (LCC Senior), attended the Midland University Honor and Festival Choir in Fremont, NE. This year, 214 students auditioned for the group, and a total of 80 singers were selected for the Festival Choir and Honor Choir. The students spent a day of rigorous choral learning that ended with a concert directed by Joel Johnston.
This is Kylla's second year attending this Honor and Festival Choir
The Band Boosters are putting on a 50/50 raffle during the football game on Friday. Winner will be announced during half time of the game! See the attached flyer for specifics!

LCC will host the 1st round of the GNAC volleyball tournament on Monday, October 21st. We will play the 5:30 game against Neigh-Oakdale. If we win on Monday, we will host again on Tuesday, October 22nd and play in the 5:30 game.
