On April 8th, seven new members were inducted into the Laurel National Honor Society Chapter. Two members were inducted in the fall, but they were recognized officially during this ceremony. These members were Kennedy Hall and Laney Folkers. The five spring inductees were Abbie Brummels, Faith Galvin, Justice Olson, Carlie Kvols, and Rena Rasmussen. The ceremony started with the lighting of the NHS “pillar” candles. Then, the guest speaker Dr. Carol Erwin gave an inspiring speech to the new members that was written as a letter to her high school self, highlighting her past experience in the NHS and how it applies to her life as an adult now. The ceremony was wrapped up with the NHS pledge and recognition of the new members. Cupcakes and punch were served.
