Boys and Girls Dancing

Several LCC High School Spanish Club members improved their dance moves, Friday, 23 February at Wayne State College. The group, along with their sponsor, Jill Camargo, practiced basic salsa and merengue steps. The students also practiced some more traditional or folk dances from Bolivia and Mexico. The students learned basic moves and rhythms of the dances and music styles. The instructor, Catherine Rudin, Profesor Emeritus of Wayne State College, was the dance instructor. Ms Rudin has also been coming into the Spanish II classroom to teach basic Latin dance, such as salsa, merengue and bachata,  and traditional dances from other Spanish speaking countries during the month of February as part of the Nebraska World Language Week, Feb 19-25.
