The Board of Education has approved an amendment to the 2023-2024 school calendar to change Monday, February 19th to an In-Session school day for all PK-12 students and staff. This change has been made to increase our available instructional hours in consideration of school cancellations due to winter weather. Please plan to have students in attendance on Monday, February 19th.
In related action, the Board of Education also approved a new policy (#6215 - Remote Learning) designed to provide greater flexibility to address potential challenges the district may face during extended periods of school cancellation, as well as to support individual students in unique circumstances that may negatively impact attendance. While this new policy does not eliminate the necessity or use of traditional "snow days," it does allow for additional options as may be deemed necessary.
